Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or use our services at GoStudio.ai (the "Site"), including the GoStudio web app, the GoStudio Chrome Extension and our APIs. In this policy, "media" means the images, videos, audio and text you upload, enter or create with GoStudio. This policy is particularly important as we handle your media. We are based in Bengaluru, India, and operate in accordance with Indian data protection laws.

Account and payment information

• Your email address and name, and your sign-in details when you sign in with a provider such as Google
• Your plan, credit balance and purchase history. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments.
• Messages you send to our support team

Media you upload and create

• Images, videos, audio and text you upload, including any metadata they contain
• Prompts and instructions you enter
• Trained models (profiles) created from your media
• Images, videos and audio you generate

Device and usage information

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

• Information about your web browser
• IP address and your approximate location (such as your country)
• Time zone
• Cookies installed on your device
• A device identifier generated in your browser when you sign in or sign up, used to prevent abuse of free credits

As you use the Site, we also collect information about the pages you view, referring websites or search terms, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to the automatically-collected information as "Device Information."

We use the collected information to:

• Process and enhance your uploaded media, and train your models
• Provide you with the resulting media, such as photos, headshots, edits and videos
• Process your payments and provide invoices/confirmations
• Show prices in your local currency and decide whether free credits are available in your country
• Communicate with you about your orders and services
• Check prompts and uploaded media, and validate email addresses, to keep the Service safe
• Screen for potential risk or fraud, including repeated use of free credits
• Improve and optimize our Site and services
• Analyze how customers use our platform
• Assess the success of our marketing campaigns

You can upload any kind of good media to GoStudio, such as selfies, group photos and videos, to create a trained model or to generate and edit media with our tools. Media must be appropriate and something you have the right to use. Your media may contain faces. We use it only to provide the Service to you.

• Your uploads, trained models and generated results stay in your account until you delete them
• You can delete uploaded media and generated results yourself in the app at any time
• We do not use your uploads or generated results to train AI models
• We keep logs of prompts and generations, including prompts or uploads that break our rules, to run the Service and investigate misuse
• We monitor prompts and uploaded media before they are processed. Content that breaks our Terms, such as nude, sexual or other NSFW content, is blocked and is not sent to an AI provider
• We do not view your media. To create your results, it is sent to the AI providers listed on our sub-processors page
• We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your media

If you misuse GoStudio, we block your account and cancel your active subscriptions. If your account is blocked, you can email support@gostudio.ai to appeal.

If you delete your account, we delete your data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep some of it, such as payment and tax records. See Data Retention below.

This section applies specifically to the GoStudio Chrome Extension and describes the data it collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Data Collected by the Extension

The GoStudio Chrome Extension collects the following data:

• GoStudio.AI account credentials (email and API key) — entered manually by the user in the extension settings
• Product image URLs from pages the user actively browses — captured only when the user clicks the Recreate button
• GoStudio.AI profile ID — used to associate generated results with the user's account

How Extension Data Is Used

• The API key is used solely to authenticate requests to the GoStudio.AI API on your behalf
• Image URLs are sent to the GoStudio.AI API to recreate the product image you selected
• Your data is never used for advertising, behavioural profiling, or sold to any third party

Local Storage

• The API key is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.local)
• No extension data is stored on external servers beyond what is required by the GoStudio.AI API to process your request
• Recreated images are saved to your GoStudio.AI account gallery

Data Sharing

• Extension data is sent to GoStudio.AI's own API (first-party)
• We do not view your data. The sub-processors who might receive it to create your results are listed on our sub-processors page

Host Permissions

• The extension requests access to all URLs solely to read product image URLs when you click Recreate on a supported shopping page
• The extension does not read page content, cookies, passwords, or any other page data
• No background data collection occurs — the extension only activates on an explicit user action

Retention & Deletion

• The locally stored API key can be cleared at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage in your browser settings
• Recreated images stored in your GoStudio.AI account gallery can be deleted from within your account at any time

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with third parties only when necessary to run the Service:

• AI providers that generate and edit your results
• Payment processing partners to handle transactions
• Hosting, storage and delivery providers to securely store and deliver your content
• Email, support and internal tools to communicate with you and run our operations
• Analytics and monitoring providers to improve our services
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Response to legal requests (subpoenas, court orders, etc.)

We do not view your data. The providers who might receive it are listed on our sub-processors page.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings and understand how the Site is used. Our analytics and monitoring tools include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, PostHog, OpenPanel, Microsoft Clarity and Sentry. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Site may stop working.

We also collect anonymous performance data, such as page load times, image processing speeds and content delivery efficiency, to assess platform and content delivery network performance. This data is anonymous and contains no personal information.

We do not alter our site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Our primary operations are based in Bengaluru, India. The providers listed on our sub-processors page may be located in other countries, so your data may be transferred and processed outside the country where you live. When we do so, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify the affected users and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

We may keep information for longer where the law requires it, for example payment and tax records.

We process your personal information under the following legal bases:

• Your consent
• Contract performance
• Legal obligations
• Legitimate business interests
• Protection of vital interests

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to our processing of your data
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent

You can delete your uploads and generated results yourself in the app, and you can delete your account from your account settings.

To exercise these rights or raise concerns, contact us at support@gostudio.ai. We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.

GoStudio is used around the world. Depending on where you live, such as the European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR and UK GDPR), the United States (including California and other states), Canada, Australia or India, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. These can include the right to know what personal information we hold, to correct or delete it, to receive a copy of it, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw consent.

We do not sell your personal information. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

GoStudio is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@gostudio.ai and we will delete it. Parents and guardians who upload media of their own children confirm that they have the right to do so.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted online with an effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

We comply with applicable Indian data protection laws, including:

• Information Technology Act, 2000
• Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011
• Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as it comes into force
• Other applicable data protection regulations
